Profiling!!!! Profiling!!!! Did somebody Really say “PROFILING”. Really? Let me start of first by saying this. SLOWER TRAFFIC AND STONERS STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE. I appluade Flomaton Police department for finally doing something about people getting in the left lane or right either way and not having the common courtesy to move over to let traffic behind them pass by. I also applude you for not only doing your job but in the end taking drugs and drug money of the streets. Chances are if you are to stoned or drunk that you are slowing traffic and cannot get out of the way, well then your not being profiled….you being pulled over for impending traffic….possibly under the influence and in possession. Good Job Chris Neal, Matt Jernigan, and the Flomaton P.D.

Each man in the department should at least get a full set of body armour and a machine pistol out of this. They are on the front line against these jokers.

Someone is going to have to go home to Atlanta and explaine to some monster how he managed to loose 46k to a crossroad police department and they are not going to be happy. Arm Flomaton PD with the best, they have earned it and need it.

WOW!!! A few of these comments just floor me!!! Instead of thanking the police for getting the drugs and the dope money off the streets they are spending time bitching that either the police was profiling or bitching cause they pulled over someone driving to slow!! And i will not even go there about the comment on the marijuana!! For real, what are you teaching your kids when you show this kind ignorance?

Thank you to the officers who risk their life every day to keep our streets safe! Thank you for watching out for our kids and trying your best to keep the drugs off our streets! For that you do have so many supporters and are well respected!!

What exactly is “impeding the flow of traffic”? Is it going too slow? Flomaton doesn’t have posted minimum speed limits. I live here, and drive these roads daily. Some of the local old folks drive the roads really slow, but I’ve never seen anyone pulled over and I hope I never do. Was this car stopped at the yield at Hwy29 & Hwy31 going north? More people stop and look instead of yielding and going into the flow. Was this a case of profiling? I sure hope not.

Section 20-2-93(4) and (5) Code of Alabama gives Police authority to seize

(4) All moneys, negotiable instruments, securities, or other things of value furnished or intended to be furnished by any person in exchange for a controlled substance in violation of any law of this state; all proceeds traceable to such an exchange; and all moneys, negotiable instruments, and securities used or intended to be used to facilitate any violation of any law of this state concerning controlled substances;

and

(5) All conveyances, including aircraft, vehicles, or vessels, or agricultural machinery, which are used, or are intended for use, to transport, or in any manner to facilitate the transportation, sale, receipt, possession, or concealment of any property described in subdivision (1) or (2) of this subsection;

@Hmmm,

Is it cool with you to put him behind bars for the cocaine that he had? How many people died from a cocaine overdose?
Is that the new litmus test? Must something be deadly in order to serve time for it?
Are the prisons ruining young lives, or the narcotics?
