Want to fix your schools Atmore? Stop voting for lackluster politicians and the lowest common denominator. Does any of the local school board members even have a college degree?

And we wonder what is wrong with our youth, more discipline and participation from parents at home would help our children so much. Parents please do not leave the learning process to our teachers alone, we need to take our part in helping our children and encouraging them to do better by sitting down with them to study, check their work to make sure it is correct and if not have them to correct it. Teachers need not to give up on our students either, stay firm with them in discipline in the classroom and a no tolerance policy for incorrect work or incomplete work, along with parents no tolerance policy as well. Do not accept below average or average grades,require better of them and more. It will take all of these and more to improve our children’s learning.

Congrats FHS and FES staff and students!! I have always said, Flomaton has one of if not THE best school in the county. Now for the bad news……….with all of these other school’s failing, look for these students to be allowed to be bussed to Flomaton, then look for Flomaton to have a Failed AYP in the near future!!

I see why so many send their kids to Florida schools. A teacher said I teach in Atmore but my child will not go there. I see the police and firemen in Atmore send there kids to Florida schools. Alabama should pay Florida to run Atmore’s school system.
