My Mom was cleaning the bedroom & found a bag of "pot" in my brothers dresser. She said "come go with me to the Holly Hill Police Dept & I'm going to see what we can do about this". I said "okie dokie". We got there to the PD station & she walked in the front office holding the bag of pot & told the officer what happened & said "what can you do about it". He said "first of all mam I could arrest you for possession but come go with me" , we followed him to the mens restroom & walked in , went to a toilet - he said " open that bag & dump it down this toilet , next time it happens leave it alone & call us if you want something done & don't let me see you carrying it like that again ok".
