(Chippendale) Then they started adding Valley Ridge subdivisions - I think there are 3 sections - not sure. This added, slowly, an addition of 300 or so homes. It could be a very dangerous area if there was an accident or some reason people had to evacuate. Something needs to be done. I can't beleive the county let this happen! If there was only one when the homes were bought I am not sure why the county commission would need to be involved. I have lived here almost 15 years and this also happened when hurricane Ivan hit here in 2005. They should have done something about putting us another road in here then. Everybody who lives in Valley Ridge should be on the phone to the county commissioner and demand that they put us another road in here all (300) homes. There may be a slight wait. The county preferred us request a closure just to be on the safe side. That's completely messed up. You guys should be out there with pitch forks and trucks blocking the area where they want to work until they come up with a solution. If any of those families needs an ambulance or a fire truck, they won't be able to get to you. This is a needless risk to property and lives.
