While I agree with Jesse on some points, I don’t want the government telling me what to do, what I can wear, what music I can listen to, etc. I believe we need to teach our youth to seek and respect other things in life rather than just the things that bring out the “rebel” in them and their peers. I was young once – bad things were around then, but since I had been taught some values and appreciation of the better things in life, I CHOSE not to get invovled with the bad stuff. Too many youngsters today don’t realize that the better things in life are the best way to go rather than just going with the flow with the gangsters and gangster wannabees. the better things in life don’t usually end with you going to jail or prison for a long time.

I understand the mother of one of these two men had the courage to report her son. Congratulations to a true citizen. If more parents/relatives would do this our crime would subside a bit.
Never say my child would not do this even is they are adults. Bless you lady. You may have saved the life of a child.

The problem with the proposal is that it also includes the thug mentality — telling people how to act and dress, what they can watch or say. Shutting down movie making, television programs, music production would have limited benefit and would give the government the power to decide anything we could be told. This is worse than these sons of strangers in that THEY can be stopped but it would take an armed rebellion to stop the government if it ever became THAT oppressive.

As to alternative solutions, speak up in opposition to what is wrong, demand accountability for the actions of such thugs and in my more happy moments, consider taking people convicted of such things and transporting them to the mountains of Afghanistan and releasing them, never letting them return to the USA — not to serve as soldiers but as free men in an unwelcoming environment.

This thug mentality is a threat to national security. Across the nation we are threatened by these young gangsters. They are sensationalized in the media, in music and on screen. Something needs to be done. Both of these clowns need to be sent to prison for the rest of their lives if found guilty. We need to censor music and film to include television. It should be illegal and enforced that people are required to wear clothes that fit and keep them pulled up. Respecting elders should be a law that is enforced, Now I am certain that the liberals will be very vocal in disagreeing with me, but what solutions do you have?
