I agree with William and funny on this!! Some people just cant function without having something to complain about!! Really? It kills me! He clearly stated in the article that it was from the NWS!! Thanks William for spreading the news!! Weither its first hand news from you or you just spreading the news of others like this article, its always nice to know whats going on!! Heck even the channel 3, 5, and 10 news stations get their news from others!! Great job!

Anything produced by the NWS is public domain (not copyrighted) and can be freely used. Sometimes we give credit (as in the story above ” according to the National Weather Service” in the first paragraph), and sometimes we do not.

And seriously, does the weather guy on TV or the radio give credit to the NWS for the forecast? I think not.

Not an expert, but I believe plagiarism is taking another’s work and passing it off as one’s own. Why is there never a notation crediting the NWS for its published forecasts, maps, or photographs? I always thought this was one of the primary principles of journalism. How else does Northescambia.com fail to give due credit?
