Richard I doubt if the narcs could have done much good. It is unlikely that these jokers have or know of a safehouse with a few hundred pounds stashed inside and I doubt if they were involved in production to amount to anything. I would bet these people are making runs to destinations in Texas and bringing back loads under 100lbs and dealing them out.

It is possible that the Narcs were busy frying bigger fish when these were caught. The DEA down at the fed building will talk to them about it, they have the jurisdiction to cover Texas and can cut a deal just as good as the locals. Great job ECSD.

The Deputies tried to get the drug unit to respond, but the supervisor of that unit told them they would look at it later and refused to respond. No telling where it may have lead them to that night if that supervisor would have cared about doing his job, or had an administration that encouraged supervisors to do their jobs. I’m sorry that blame rests squarely on the shoulders of David Morgan. You don’t have to look very hard to see why things have gotten bad in this county. Defend him if you want thats your decision, but he is ultimately responsible for his deputies and supervisors and their actions, or inactions in this case.

To solve the problem—-

1. Legalize the drugs—get them out of the hands of the underworld–then–tax them as we do cigarettes and liquor. Let the state get the revenue—not the big time drug dealers.

2. Stop playing cops and robbers. Either arrest the people or not. Too much inconsistency in enforching the law.

3. Stop the welfare checks—go back to giving out food stamps instead. Free lunch and breakfast for the children—and food stamps to buy food only. If the government pays the rent—then pay direct to the landlord. NO ONE should be allowed to get cash with government debit cards. The kids are going hungry while mom and dad are spending the money on drugs and gambling.

4. Drug testing should be required for all people on public assistance at least once a month. If they aren’t on drugs, they would not mind taking the test. People with jobs are required to take drug tests.

5. Wake up world! There is no such thing as a free lunch! Somebody—the tax-payers are paying for this. What a mess ——-and by-the-way—–this is happening everywhere—NOT JUST IN CENTURY!!

when is ‘homo’ sapiens going to evolve into a more responsible and respectable species? It won’t. Not until it quits this. Really, drugs are not cool. It is not cool to ruin yourself. I wish people would have higher aspirations leading to a longer lasting fulfillment, not a high. These people don’t care about society. We need true citizens who do.
