I have been gainfully employed for 30 years of my life, 14 of those in law enforcement. I own 2 pistols and a rifle. I am NOT a criminal. You need to put a filter over your fingers before you click the submit button!

It is certainly your right to refuse to own a firearm, even to protect yourself and your family. (people who believe that are considered cowards). Tell ya what, make a sign to hang around your neck and on your back that says”If I am attacked/mugged, please don’t come to my aid”. Also put such signs on your vehicle and your house. We legal firearms owners won’t interfere.

You have judged everyone wrong for judging this person. Not everyone DID judge him, but you have judged everyone.
It will be interesting if you ever see the conflict in your judgment.
It would be interesting if you saw the conflict in your judgment of even one person for the sin of judgmentalism.

More to the point, who takes away the right to judge whether a person is safe to be around or safe to let their children be around? Commenters aren’t getting ready to personally punish him, but they ARE saying what they think of his actions, just like YOU did.

@Advice. People’s criminal history is public record. It is there so that we can look up folks and see what caliber human being they are. You can also see if that new neighbor that just moved in is a pedophile or might be cooking meth instead of frying chicken on Sundays. I personally like that we can look these lowlifes up.

Everyone is wrong for judeging this young man. Yes what he did is very stupid and thank goodness that noone was hurt in this incident. And who gives people the@ right to look at someones record, and judge them when you are not the judge, he will have to pay for every wrong he does own his on. I think the say goes we are not suppose to judge ,but let us be judge god is the only one that is the true judge. You are right I don’t know the “majority” of gun owners; but seeing as how those of us who bought our guns legally and had the foresight to obtain a concealed carry permit for protection/self defense and had to go through a safety course on the responsible use of firearms and situations where deadly force is authorized, I would venture to say that most legal gun owners would step in and help someone else if they had the chance. If you would like for one of us responsible gun owners to forego the responsibility to step in and stop someone from raping your wife, or murdering your child, or stealing your car if we witness it; let me know. Although I obviously can’t speak for the others, I will save my ammunition for someone who might actually appreciate it.
