Jimmie Powell will certainly be missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing him or working with him. His legacy will live on, not only though his family, but through the lives he has influenced both professionally and personally. I knew Jimmie through ECEMS. He and I both worked the night shift and would see each other often. He was a medic and I was an EMT that worked at both West Fl Hospital ER and Baptist Hospital ER downtown. He was always such a pleasure to talk to and swap stories with. I do feel as though he was my brother in the EMS family. All of my brothers and sisters in the EMS family will agree that he was a man of outstanding character and will be missed greatly. To his real family: I'm sorry for your loss and I'll pray for you that God will grant you peace in this very difficult time. I wish you all the best. To Jimmie: No more lights and sirens and hurrying to get there. Your there now. No more pain or suffering. You finally get a chance to relax. I'll see you when I get there.
