I went to Tate graduation. Disappointing. Sound was so bad you I couldn’t understand most names and speeches. Also parking is terrible when graduation of schools are scheduled to close together. I paid $5.00. It’s amazing that our county school system cannot schedule and provide a non controversial graduation for students and family.

I feel the High School football field would be the best place, the emotional impact, bitter sweetness of walking away from what you know, to the unfamiliar.

Just a question? Does anyone know the cost of the Civic Center for the use for graduations to the tax payer? Better yet, has anyone thought of what an inconvenience it would be for the school superintendent and the board members having to make an appearance at all those graduations all over the county? I don’t think its fair to think that graduations should be all about the graduates the families and the teachers and staff. Silly people thousands of us should have to drive miles and walk acres and acres to see those graduates in a sterile, get em in get em out arena for the sake of a few being inconvenienced. Imagine a superintendent and Board members actually showing up at each and every school they represent? Just saying, could be wrong , but whatever happened to the old fashioned football field graduation?

The Civic Center sound system was weak this year at Tate’s graduation. Crank that thing up so parents can her their child’s name.

I have been to Graduations at the Civic Center, I have also attended 3 of my own children’s graduations at Northview High. I gladly came early to Northview to get a decent seat. It is sad when you sit at the Civic Center and have no clue as to which graduate is your child. If need be give each graduate 4 passes, if they need more they will have to deal with fellow gratuates for any tickets they might not be using. Otherwise move the gratuation to the Football field!

For Northview Graduation, the football field would be great! Just have graduation late in the afternoon or evening.

I went to the pace graduation at the civic center and if you show up at eleven are a little before to watch graduation at eleven like a lot of people due then you will be out of luck.

A great idea. I wonder why we don’t have more concerts there? It is a shame we have to drive to Mobile or Biloxi to see a show, when we have the civic center.

Six words you will never hear spoken there, ladies and gentlemen the Rolling Stones. Maybe the ball park could be used for events and concerts?

Northview’s current seniors have voted to hold their graduation at the Civic Center, but they have not been given the green light yet.
