There is a thing called the INTERNET that you can use to pay bills and it’s open 24 hours a day. I live on the north end and that’s how I pay my taxes and renew my tags. One year I had to prove I had insurance so I mailed them in. So why exactly are you complaining? Oh wait…..driver license. We do this ONCE every EIGHT YEARS according to my new license. I don’t believe I ever saw the century office half as busy as I have seen the cantonment office. It just goes to show, if you don’t use it, you lose it. I do commend them for at least trying to make it easier for us by moving it closer to century. Not as close as we would like, but maybe one day we will get another one up here.

It’s a pretty building, but what happened to the ‘1 day a week extended hours’? How can a person working 8-5 find time to pay taxes? For example, I just spent a half hour in line at the Marcus Pointe office and had to leave to get back to work because the line wasn’t moving.

I agree wholeheartedly with huh. Why can’t services still be offered in Century?
At least one or two days/week with a “paid for” facility would be a great asset to the North end residents. There are a lot of seniors that will still have to drive to Molino. “THE PEOPLE” of this county never gets a voice in these decisions – only HIGHLY PAID INDIVIDUALS that are “double dipping” in salaries that could be put toward taxes individuals have to pay on EVERYTHING. It is not fair but we do not have the population to make changes in our governing officials so check into what these people make already in compensation when they run for office. If a person is on the same level as his constituents then they will make better decisions based on “a living example” of how to manage our taxes.

The county was paying $60,000 a year to rent that space? That was insane.

I still don’t think is made ANY since to move from a PAID FOR building in Century to Cantonment. It much to far away for a lot of the people in the northend of the community, but as usual, we don’t count!!! The Molino office will be closer, but still has cost the taxpayers for the new building. As usual, wasted money!!!
