Stupid? He went into a store with a mask on and participated in an armed robbery!
Parents are RESPONSIBLE for their minor children! Parents pay restitution all the time for what their children do illegally. Until he is 18 his parent(s) are responsible for his actions. I’m not saying they should be charged with this crime, but they should be held accountable for his actions. If he was just going to ride around, why run and have to be captured by a K-9? Actions speak louder than words.

bell-there are times when parents may need to be charged for something their child may do-but your comment was stupid. I have teenagers and yes they ride with their friends-lets say the friend that was picking up his friend stated they were going to another friends house to watch a movie or just going to a movie, and while the parents of this child has no reason not to take this friends word and its possible the teenager that was picked up had no clue has to want his friends are actually up to, they pull in to get a soda but the others chose to rob, the kid is in shock afraid- so u think the parents should be charged-dont think so…..

The parent(s) of the 16 year old should be charged as well. Also nothing was mentioned about possession of a handgun by persons under the age of 21.

Great Job to the ECSO for quickly apprehending these scum. Now lets hope the rest of the judicial system does the right thing (hint not slap on the hand and send them home to do it again).
