Drove by the plant the other day and so far nothing has been done about the building. What about all the acreage up here in Cantonment? There’s plenty of space here that could use a big company like Majestic. I would rather smell the scent of candy than that nasty old paper mill. We need more industries up here in Cantonment and Molino. I hope Majestic will be a better company to their employees and actually give them a living wage and not a minimum wage pay. I’ve been working for the same company in Milton for 7 years and still don’t even make $9.00/hr. Give the people a wage they can actually live comfortably with. I am also tired of getting all pumped up about some new business promising to set up shop in Pensacola only to find out later they moved to Mobile.

Is there any info on where or when this company will be taking apps?

I have seen almost the same story from 3 different sources and no one has any information about where or when they will begin hiring which is the most important info to a lot of people that are out of work right now.

I think it is great that this company is going to call pensacola it’s home, I was born and raised here and we have needed this for a long time. It will be wonderful for the area. Who knows i might put my application in. I love it and i love pralines. I am 55 years old and i have see pensacola grow.
