His commitment to family, friends, and community is a achievement that all should strive for. It was never good enough for him to just have knowledge, but to see to it all around him had the same knowledge. Not just in words passed along, but in deeds and actions that motivated people to do things right, and for the right reasons. The success of every fireman in this area is the direct result of Charles's relentless efforts to organize and develope the Fire services we know today in Escambia County. I am honored to have know Charles and his family, and will always have the benefit of the knowledge he passed on to me, and that allows him to always be there for me and to all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
