Simon said the new law is a “radical voter suppression measure” that is based on fraud that “did not exist.” and “But the people of Florida are smart enough to see this for what it is: a PR offensive to bolster the State’s legal posture in federal court in Tallahassee and Washington.”

Let's see, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck voted in the last presidential election. I'd say voter fraud did exist then and still does today.

Why is that PR offensives skewering the conservatives are fine but not tolerated when the skewering is pointed at the liberals?

Shouldn't "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth" be the standard, no matter who is the target?

once?
That is not how gooberment works.
To have just one "covers it all database" would put gooberment workers out of a job. Each department has to do the same thing different to justify their jobs.

My biggest question is this: why don't they just take your thumb print and use that? Then people would not have to drag a big pile of papers into the DMV and it would work for elections also. You would only have to do that once.
