I happen to know this lady well. She is a good, decent and nurturing person. All of you who are passing judgement, should know all the details before you do. Yes she had been drinking, and feels horrible……but there are many facts to be considered in this accident. It’s not so cut and dry.

Maybe 10 years ago I would have defended the Drunk Driver aka Kimberly Rodrigues..but now, I think she needs to serve her time..mom or no mom!!! i can speak first hand that I have received a DUI before and that was an eye-opener..I have 3 beautiful children and the thought of me or anyone else killing them in a Alcohol related accident would completely end my life. So instead of worring about your own life, think of what your chain reaction accident caused, and how an 11 year old child will never be able to live out his life…Yet..you want to go free….Let’s just hope I’m not on your jury…Guilty As Charged..15 Years!!!!

I’m sorry mick, and everyone else bashing this. This article fails to mention that the 11 year old didn’t have a seat belt on, or the fact that the SUV they were in never touched her truck and was speeding and came on the wreck too fast. You can also avoid a wreck with out flipping also, so everyone saying she should stay in jail for the manslaughters. Your wrong.. That is all

She is a second mother to me, she was going through a rough patch. Do I say what she did was right? Heck no! She knows she shouldn’t have drove home that night & she feels HORRIBLE about it . So, because everyone goes & jumps to conclusions on what type of person she is , think to yourself . I’m sure you’re nowhere NEAR perfect & everyone makes mistakes. This was just a VERY big mistake on her part. But she has very strong family & friends that’ll never turn their back on her & will stand by her through thick & thin. I love you momma & we’re all praying for the best !

This lady just happens to be married to someone that up holds the law,and yes it does matter, them and their immediate family are held to a higher standard.

The other manslaughter drunk got 20 years, she should get 40, yea thats right 40 years… she may not have planned to kill anyone, but she did plan to drink her fill , she did plan to drive, and she planned every other time to drink and drive.

People are going to do what they want to do regardless of any law that is in place. The only deterrent that gets anyone’s attention is when you hurt them in the wallet or put them in a cage…

Think about that all you drunks out there…You are all a scourge on society…

Two lives lost and this nice looking young lady will do time in jail. I even more
than some growl and seethe and carry on about these types of senseless deaths, but
there just has to be a better way to teach this woman it’s not worth it to
drive drunk. Us paying to keep her jail just doesn’t seem fair to US, we did nothing
wrong and now it comes out our pockets because this happened. I don’t know how
the victims family feel maybe they don’t mind paying. The fact remains she was
impared when she climbed in that car, it’s not like she PLANNED on killing those
people.

I wonder how long it will take the state legislature to classify any death resulting from another driver that is DUI as murder rather than manslaughter.

she’s going away for a long time.. If she would have just been texting when she killed them it would Only be a $166. fine..somethings wrong with that picture.. I think ALL drivers drunk or sober should be held accountable for their actions..
