Some of our mail is carried by private contractors so it might not have been a taxpayer issue.

And we wonder why the U.S. Postal Service is going broke. The driver should have pulled over at the first sign of smoke. This will probably cost big bucks to repair.

Thats what happens when you blow a seal or break a shaft in the turbocharger It pumps the engines oil straight into the exhaust and you get lots of smoke at least till the engine runs out of oil ! Just some Info for those wondering why it was smoking so bad! Note; If the engine runs out of oil before the driver stops it cost about $20,000 to repair, if he stops when it starts smoking it only cost about $1,800 ! Yes I work on big truck every day!

I passed him headed home north bound as he was going south bound.The smoke was so bad it had both sides of Hwy 29 slowing almost to a stop… Glad everyone is ok and it wasn’t on fire!!
