Power was out approximately 3 1/2 hours (6:30pm-10:00pm), according to the article. If you lost everything in your frig/freezer in that short time, you NEED to invest in a NEW frig/freezer!!!!!

I’ve had power outages that lasted many more hours than that & didn’t loose the contents of frig/freezer. May loose a few things in frig if outage is a really long time, but not the freezer.

Keep the door closed….Keep the kids out.

I guess it was just a coincedence we lost power @ approx 6:30 P.M. and did not get it back for a couple of hours and we are on EREC power…

this one is not worth the insurance claim to get lost food replaced. the deductible will be more than the loss, but still a pain in the butt to lose a fridge full of food…..

I knew it had to be an accident for the power to go out without a storm. Glad it wasn’t one with injuries.
