The reason the gas prices dropped is that oil prices are now 101.47 a barrel, down from 107.67 a barrel. that is partly due to the fact that we aren't shipping our gas to China, since the demand there has dropped.

Enjoy it while you can..
The new Raceway station is selling gas way below wholesale, selling it at a loss. Its just a promotion to get your business in a new store. Just like a grand opening on anyone else in retail.
In a week or so, they will adjust the fuel cost back to a profitable margin. The Gas War will be over and prices will return to normal.

Supply and demand, speculators have something to do with high prices, but the real reason is that oil is a commodity, much like food. With the Fed printing money like they are, inflation numbers are a lot higher than being reported, and this is weaking the dollar. Its costing us 2 dollars to buy one dollar. Vote the bum out in 2012

Yes the Speculators are affecting the price of oil futures...but everyone should remember that oil is speculated on the law of supply and demand. There is more of a demand for oil now that China and India are becoming more industrialized. Everyone wants a car and can afford them.

Since we do not have a government with any type of energy policy, or not able to make a decision until after the election (both sides); nothing is going be done about it. The US now owes more to foreign countries in the form or debt than we produce. Something has got to happen to all of those individuals who are doing nothing, but expect to have a check each month.

Hopefully after November, we can get the professor out of the White House, and get someone that at least did some type of work when they were elected, other than trying to get re-elected, and more experience than just a "community organizer". We cannot afford 4 more years of the same.

Keep in mind its the "Speculators" on Wall Street that drive the prices up, and here you all wonder what "Occupy" was protesting them.... Now you know.
