With the way the final MOU is worded and the fact that it didn't get to the 4-H members until Friday afternoon, only "Time Will Tell" how the Extension Office and UF will handle the wishes of the 4-H Youth.

@ Lamb. I'm with you 100%. I have felt the Bayer property (with a good soil inspection) would be the best deal for all. NFCU appeared to bend over backward to do what was right for everyone. There was another cool head that talked about using the property for some crops and selling timber to increase the value of the trust fund that should be set up for future needs. If the Bayer property is found to have problems there are a number of other large properties that could be bought. Some day these young people will be able to look back with pride in as much as they helped make jobs and gave 4H a longer life and 4H will have the money to keep it going.

Thanks for the memories, LBC. I can still always remember the great times there as a young boy trying to figure which 4H girl I liked the best. For the time Eddie Hinote, my brother and I went to LBC on a Sundasy afternoon to catch flying squirrels from the rafters/eaves of the cabins. There were sad times too, the tragic loss of a young boy in the lake. and the hurricane that destroyed the cabins and the old auditirium/dining hall. I can still visualize the old jukebox!
Paling around with Mike Godwin and Brenda Lambert. the track meet and other activities there.
A sad ending to a great place that most county 4Hers would love to have. Matt and Minnie Bell, THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES!

Congrats to Debbie Calder and NFCU. Your patience and staying in the background paid off. Please treat LBC respectfully and make it a very scenic campus!
Now, All that voted. YES or NO. Stand fast, press for what you want, I personally hope that it is the Bayer property. The Stephani Road and the other parcel have too many negatives. Build support and press for what you want. You may never get another chance! This X 4Her stands with you.
