This is a security exercise that is planned for EVERY Navy base in the Country. They will ALL be performing this SECURITY exercise on the same days. I'm literally shocked that people are complaining that this exercise is being done during Escambia Countys Spring Break. Excuse me, but I'm more worried about our Navy installations getting the practice they need in case of a real world event....then it messing up this one Countys Spring Break. At least for local kids don't close during breaks. Escambia County has theirs next week. Baldwin County has theirs the week after. There has to be away to plan these closures. I am sure. This "exercise" could have been scheduled at any time other than the weeks/months of spring break. Bama54 might I suggest January, February, etc. This falls into the same genius category as Alabama Department of Transportation closing Bankhead tunnel for repairs during spring break for two weeks when traffic is much heavier during this time.
