They always used this phrase to determine when to plant corn, among many other summer growing crops. It simply says" If it thunders in February it will frost that day in April" Some may laugh but mark it down it is true. I have found that it may not be on that day but it will be close within a day or two. I might remind you that it thundered Feb 16 and again Feb 26.. My guess that we will have several more cool mornings. The old timers have passed this down for generations.
