One area that has always had good ECSD coverage is Pensacola Beach. I remember back in the early 80s that island would get pretty wild. We would seak our bush wackers out the bar, heading to the next one. We would be walking having a good old time, when out of the doorway would step ECSD Deputy Kevin Harris, all spit shine, starched and polished. We would just empty our drinks right there on the curb and say Kevin how are you this evening sir. He would say youal be careful and have a good night. A good LE precence goes a long way in maintaining order, in our night time entertainment venues.

I have large hands and favor the John Browning single action auto design of the Colt 1911A1 Government .45ACP. Its easy for me to just roll the hammer back with my thumb on that first shot. Most modern double action auto loaders have an ambidextrous trigger disconnect safety, near the hammer at the rear of the slide.

@century he has money?! He want do no time…. Kno dat? Haaaa learn some grammer son. First off, if you have to walk around with a gun you are what us folks in the country called a “coward”. Secondly, you have got to be a complete idiot to even step foot in a club where you feel your life is threatened to the point of carrying a gun. It’s people like @century and his idiot friend that waste our tax money feeding these clueless citizens in jail! I hope he gets jail time, he deserves it!

I agree with “curious”.. I carry a pistol for personal protection, and I do have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, but I also believe that if you take a pistol into a bar, you are indeed looking for trouble.. Firearms and alcohol are a deadly combination.. If a bar is that rough, I won’t go there anyway.. We also have a rule at our hunting club that no alcohol is consumed until the day is done and the firearms are put away..

What is a “safe button?” Is that anything like the “easy” button in the TV ad? My Glock does not have a “safe button” but it does have a triple safety built into the trigger. In my opinion the real issue is somebody handling a firearm poorly, “safe button” or not. The slide on a semi-automatic handgun can hurt you if you don’t know how to handle it, or do so in an incorrect manner.

I agree w/ 1st person but also if you hear of something supposedly gonna happen, protect yourself & stay home or away from there unless you want to look for trouble.
