That article was run March 20. You’ll be happy to know the lady, KEIA ALEXIS CLAUSELL, who is accused of killing Shernique Kemp got the same bond offer two days later:

“03/22/2012 BOND SET AT $250,000 CASH OR PROFESSIONAL”

That seems a bit excessive, she might not have that much on hand. “Hines is being held on a $250,000 bond, according to the Escambia County Jail.” and that’s on a first degree murder charge whereas the lady is only charged with felony manslaughter

So for those who dislike Morgan so much—tell me how he and the SO are going to totally stop dope deals that “go bad” and one of the players is killed. I know “citizen” has a dog in the fight and when one wants to be a power broker some odd things are said. I guess we could double our taxes and put more LEO on the street.

I agree – citizen should run for Sheriff!!! If he feels he is qualified to change the mindset of a segment of the population that refuses to accept personal esponsibility for their lives – he’s the man. All I can say is: Good luck!!!!

From the beginning. The Constitution guarantees it no matter what the charge.

The Eighth Amendment:
“Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. ”

Bail must be set unless he is a flight risk or danger to others but other than that, you can’t keep a person in jail for being charged without being found guilty.

Citizen it is not too late to file for your candidacy. Why don’t you get out there and walk it, like you talk it. I am sure a quick review of your personnel file, would offer some interesting insight, as to why you despise Sheriff Morgan, as you do.
