19 years old...weed and crack. I hope this kid sees this as his wake up call.
Mom and Dad it's not to late.......it's never to late to TRY.

An officer one time stopped me on the other side of town and when he asked
for my drivers license I started to get out and he jumped back and put his hand
on his holster and said, "Stay in the Car and Don't Start Hopping Around".
I'm WAY to old to HOP but I got the message. LOL
I had been shopping at Walmart and had put my purse in my truck before I
had arrived, at my age I have learned not to put one in the buggy if at all
possible. Sometimes Officers know what to look for and sometimes we ALL just make them nervous.
P.S. if anyone cares I actually thought he was a very good officer

Well this guy probably did not even get inside the police station before some of his drug buddies had the $160.00 to put up for his bail or maybe even the entire $1600.00. Such a waste of time of the officer for this guy to only be slapped on the wrist and then let go. Shucks he probably has another pocket full of drugs to distribute right now to some kid waiting in a bus line for school and its early in the day yet. I guess this is the reason that the prisons are so empty and Mr. Scott deems it more economical to give the prisons to outsiders to operate. Such a farce....

The kid was more than likely asked if he had anything on him. He more than likely knew that the officer did not have (legal) probable cause to search his vehicle unless a K9 was called and hit on his vehicle. Knowing he had drugs, which the dog would have hit on, thus giving the officer PC to search the vehicle and definitely finding the crack; he figures "I'd rather take the hit for possession of weed than distributing crack." Not knowing that once it is determined that he was in possession of a controlled substance the officer no longer requires the services of the K9 for PC to search the vehicle, he gets busted for the crack anyway.

Knowing the law is good, but not messing with any of it is always better. Good job ECSO!

Just a guess but if you didnt get searched then you probably didnt do anything to make the officer thinl you needed to be. They do have some experience in spotting things that need further jnvestigation, after all.
