How is this going to be any better for the Co's? The drop in insurance, 401K, and many other benefits the state currently offers. Personally the state offers great benefits. But I can say that the state needs to promote more effective officers in higher positions within the prison system. You are having inexperienced officers getting promoted due to the good ole' boy system, which isn't right. It should be based on performance and not who you know......just a thought! Not real educated on the private prison other than they can choose who they want to house and not house based on their level of crimes they have committed. I still think this idea is crap!
