Even if they track down the phone number, they can just throw away the phone
and say it was stolen. I find it hard to believe with the amount of crimes that
go unsolved that this particular crime will come high on the list of cases
to crack..

Don’t get me wrong I WANT THEM FOUND AND PROSECUTED, but it amazes
me how many crimes here go unsolved, and some of them have real victims.

This crime is just stupid and no one was hurt except the tax payers, even
though so many were inconvenienced.

Well it will remain to be seen what priority this takes.

This sort of behavior makes me blow a gasket. I hope the person/s doing this are punished to the max of the law. They will be caught. A great response from our Sheriff’s Deputies.

Making a call like that should have Severe penalties.. I’m talkin about no less than 5 years hard time with no chance of an early out.. I don’t think prisoners should have A/C, heat, blanket or TV either.

It is absolutely a blessing that the responding deputies were not diverted from an actual violent crime. I hope they catch the bogus caller and that the punishment is as severe as it can be for this hoax and the subsequent waste of resources.
