State law PROHIBITS Florida municipalities from passing BSL or breed bans, but makes an exception for Miami-Dade’s long-standing breed ban. Florida HB 997 / SB 1322 deletes the single sentence in state law that creates the exception for Miami-Dade. If the bills pass, Miami-Dade county would be required to repeal their breed ban. These two bills are making their way thru the Florida legislature now. There have been many local cases of rescued pitbulls who had been terribly abused by humans, ultimately adopted into loving homes. It does happen. I am southern and I think you never kill anything other than for food purposes. I can not have children and I have 15 chickens(all have names). A 12year old five pound sweety and a BULLDOG! Everyone crys and screams about animal rights.lol Has anyone taken the time to know we kill all bulldogs here. They can be sweet ,well mannered and loyal. We can not adopt, foster or anything because they are in this bread.Tell me where the abuse comes from. Who made the rules on which ones are acceptable and which are not. They always show picture of the dogs that are in bad shape why is it different in this case. I want to make sure that everyone knows that the only dogs that they put down where bulldogs. So I guess that bulldog now mean bad shape. Also for all these people that are posting that if he can miss treat a dog that he can miss treat a child. I want you to know that this man has done a lot for this community. He is part of most of the benefits that happen in this town that are for children. Two of the hogs that where there were for the make a wish benefit. This is not a bad person and if you don’t believe me go down to animal control and demand to see these dogs and see for yourself that they are not in bad shape.
