I remember mr joe when I was in cantonmemt fire dept everytime you thought you didnt do your best he always put his arms around you.and tell you to keep your head up.mr joe you will be missed by many and alot of people will remember the knowledge you have taught them R.I.P. Joe was such a GREAT guy. We knew that if we were running a call in Beulah, everything that needed to get done, was done to the best of his ability. He was always full of smiles and he had such a warm heart. I will miss his laughter, his pure heart and his hugs. R.I.P. Joe. You are now one of God’s firemen. May you keep the Heaven’s free from the fires of Hell!!

When I first started at International Paper 4 years ago I remember walking in and meeting joe, im pretty sure anyone who has visited IP remembers joe, I dont think he had ever met a stranger…he always love to brag on his wife, children and the grandbabies, and loved the work he did with the fire department…I will alway remember how he wrote in all caps..or the billion of hunting, fishing and stories of how his grandbaby would get songs stuck in his head and then he sang them and got them stuck in mine…he was a good boss and his gate 5 girls as he called us will dearly miss him but glad to know his pain and suffering has come to an end…my prayers go out to his family, friends and all the lives he has touched wether it be through him saving them or teaching them to save and touch everyones heart with a helping hand or a friendly smile!!! Hope to see you again one day!

Joe, my hero, if it werent for you I would have been swept away by the river at red rp rock. It feels like a lifetime ago when I first met you. I was twenty two I think and in wpvfd, very few female firefighters back then. You told me to keep my eyes and ears open, my head down, and have a very good sense of humor. B ut never let them see you sweat-how does a firefighter do that? No I knew what you meant. I really got to know you in EMT school and there you became my hero. From one of many, many saves you will be deeply missed. I love you Joesph save me some fish to catch when I get there. I know you are finer than a frogs hair split 4 ways now, and we are all thankful that your suffering is over for . Charlotte, Vivian and all the rest of Joes family our prayers and thoughts are with yall.. See ya later Joe
