My mom is 78 and we have to watch her and try not to let her drive, I tell her I will take her any were she want to go , I will even take off for work to take her... When you get older your faculties change rapidly, sometimes. Focus is key to safe driving. My grandma was getting Alzheimer's and it came out in her driving, BADLY. She would get caught up in conversation and forget she was going 90 up 29, she forgot to check the other lane before she merged. She would actually turn sideways in the seat so she could talk better. !!! + Cruise Control!!! I never rode with her again.
