The truth is the incumbent has not been in charge for many years. He has an entourage of people who do the everyday running of the office. If the voters of Escambia County don’t mind paying for a figure head who has trouble finding his was around the building while others do his job, by all means vote him in again. I, for one, want someone who will earn the salary my tax dollars are paying. If she doesn’t do a good job then vote her out next time.

Here is another prime example of a county employee that retires with A BIG RETIREMENT SUM AND THEN GETS PAID EVEN MORE TO COME BACK TO WORK. WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE. LET SOMEONE WHO HAS THE KNOWLEDGE AND NEEDS A JOB HAVE IT. ITS TIME TO RETIRE FOR GOOD ERNIE AND GET SOME FRESH NEW BLOOD IN THAT OFFICE.

Each gets one vote.
If enough want him out, he’s out.
If enough want him in, the minority shouldn’t overrule them.

If he’s doing wrongly, say so; don’t just say that we need new and improved without showing a replacement would be an improvement. Or do, it’s up to you, just seems vacuous to me.

People need to vote “qualifications” not just because someone has been in office for “too long” as most stated above!!! Maybe there is a reason he has been re-elected the many times he has been opposed….

Check qualifications first; dont just vote to “oust” someone from doing a good job. Make sure who you vote for HAS the right talent/qualifications for the job; not just to get rid of someone who is there…. That’s the problem in our county & country…. Then you have to wait for the next election because you didn’t do the homework first then vote; to get rid of the “problem” you put in office.

I think it is time for him to retire. This County needs new people in all it’s offices! I am not against older people in the work force, just people who continue to hold jobs in “the good old boy” system.

I belive that no public office should be held for more than 8 years.. Just leads to corruption. Theres absolutly no reason for someone to be in office for 56 years and 82 years old.. Thats obserd.

I agree Sandra. That office does need new life. Magaha is pulling in $260,000 a year from that job. Enough is enough.

My vote is for Pam. That office needs new life in it and I am planning to vote against all incumbants this year.
