Chris always said he would go this way. I have no praise for him for that. Yes I knew him. Chris always had a love with danger. You live by the sword, you die by the sword. He knew it and understood it. The officer attacked, whom I still don’t know if he lived. Was the better man. I pray that he and his wife and family are able to Come out of this. Bless them, and bless his service .

I challenge each of you that are on here defending the action of the deceased – Do you honestly believe that his actions remotely reflect that he thought of his two daughters that thought he hung the moon? Do you think that his actions were in any way justified and/or legal? Do you honestly feel that he is not directly responsible for the tragic ending of his life and the beginning of suffering and misery to those that loved him?
Consider this – the Officer that was wounded may also have children that think that he hung the moon, and family/friends that care for him. And if the deceased CRIMINAL would have taken the life of an innocent bystander who would you blame then for his actions. By his own actions the deceased has shown that he has no remorse for his actions and is a callous cold hearted individual. I am truly sorry for the family friends of the deceased, and I wish that you would be more considerate of the Officer that was injured PROTECTING & SERVING the public.

We know all we need to know about this man. We know he was known to be violent,we know he had many warrants on him and last but not least.we know he committed suicide by cop because he was 1) to much of a coward to do it himself and 2) was not a man who wanted to or was going to take responsibility for his behavior3) another man’s life will forever be changed because of his irresponsibilty and bad decisions

“Lewis had active warrants for failure to appear, resisting an officer without violence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, display of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Lewis was known by officers to be violent, armed with firearm, and had made threats towards law enforcement.”

I have to ask one question…..where was all this love while this man was
spiraling out of control. The time to take action is when you first see a loved
one going in the wrong direction. This man came out of that house with
a gun shooting. Officers will have to LIVE with what he did to them and
himself.

INTERVENTION……if you really love them do something before
it comes to this. Words are just that WORDS,
ACTIONS are what prevent this kind of thing, but the actions
should have been a long time ago.
To many of our young are going up to do these kinds of things.

Yea Chris has a family. So does officer Hough. I guess its ok for Chris to try n kill a cop but its bad to say “Good Riddance to a Bad Person.”??? Steve was trying to keep the street clean! Thanl you Steve, the officer(s) that shot Chris. Got another dirt bag off the streets. At least Steve is alive but will have to spend months in the hospital and several surgies because this guy was an IDIOT!!

Law enforcement officers respond to situations that family and “friends” are already aware of. These family and “friends” could have alleviated the problem but chicken out. The result is what we have here, a delusional citizen, and a wounded law enforcement officer. Another law enforcement officer has to take deadly action, and has to suffer the question , eternally, what could I have done differently? Been there, done that.

Regardless of what Chris Done he has a family that loves him and misses him very much, and he leaves behind 2 beautiful daughters that thought he hung the moon. For you to put something so mean was wrong, you do not even know anything about him and in the end God is the only one who can judge any of us.

He got what he wanted. If he wanted to die then he should have taken himself out. I’m tired of suicidal people that want to take random people out.
