Everybody’s right: Nadine WOULD have been embarrassed by all this but it doesn’t mean that she didn’t deserve it anyway. She poured her heart and soul into making “her” town the best that she possibly could. I’m so glad that the Council saw fit to honor her memory this way.

Century City Council, I am so proud of you for doing this. I think of Nadine all of the time and I know she deserves it. Thank you for acknowledging the best supporter of any small town that I have ever met.

I read this while at work on my break, but of course did not take the time to reply on the phone keypad, lol. I cried reading it and remembering how much mom loved the park and making it something nice for everyone. Whether it was decorations, or events–she wanted the town to be able to have something nice that people could visit and stop if they were traveling. She would have been so honored, but embarrased at this as she never wanted others to know how much she was actually responsible for. Thank you all so much for recognizing my mom and all of her love that she poured into the town.

I am thrilled the park is being named after her. I did not know her,but of, but knew she had a love and desire to see the park taken care of and it being a highlight of Century.

Having a business for a long time across from the park,most local people would not beleive the tourists who stopped there for their lunch or a break.Once the town got it cleaned up with the help of law enfourcent Nadine was able to turn it into a nice picnic area without a dime of the twon’s money.Way to go council! Nadine would be embarrassed if she were here,and say she was just doing her part! I miss you Nadine.
