Yes they have a minimum of tickets they have to write. They can go over that amount but they can't have any less

bratt, that is simply not true. At least at the county level, there is no "quota" for tickets.

LOL, the Sheriff along with all of the other agencies once again hope that seat belt use will increase by simply putting out a press release like this.
There will be no increased action, they just want people to believe there will be and buckle up.

I've worn my seat belt since my teens but the law requiring them does seem over board and these special enforcement campaigns a revenue generating scheme, but we have to step back and remember that with the way we've developed our insurance industry that those who do wear a seat belt and suffer the consequences are costing the rest of us, thus the incentive for the laws in the first place.

Wearing my seat belt is a force of habit, with or without any laws.
Seat belts are put into a vehicle for a reason, and that is to help save lives; not just an ornament made in vehicles.
Think about this example: If you were to get into a vehicle, carrying along a small child/ren (newborn, infant, toddler etc...); that was in a carseat or whatever, would you strap the carriers and the child/ren in, using the seatbelts, to keep them from flying through the vehicle and/or a window or windshield, and to help save their lives?
If you said "Yes", then you are a person that cares and tries to save lives.
If you said "No", SHAME ON YOU!!!
Now, stop and think of yourself also; when getting into a vehicle...
Please, just take a sec. to buckle up; and save your lives.
Safety Tip 2 - Wear a helmet if on a motorcycle, it could save your brains; from being scattered all over the road, and your lives...

I've been wearing my belts for as long as I can remember, not because of any laws but because it's the smart thing to do. An airbag going off in a low speed crash can kill you if you're not belted in, it happens. I have no doubt that my life was saved by wearing my belt. I always wear my helmet when I'm on my bike too, at least 4 saves wearing my brain bucket. I just wish they would make a law about distracted driving and enforce it like their lives depended on it, it does. Why not stop the wreck before it happens?
