Jim Lowman was a forthright man. A good sheriff and family man, he kept his yard immaculent.

I served with Jim Lowman as a deacon. We were both ordained in January 2004. He was faithful to the same woman for 38 years and praise God for Bro John Smith and his leadership at FBCC. Its sad that many people are told they can serve in every area of a church except deacon if they dont measure up to what some define as a biblical standard! And under the new pastor there he would have never had that chance…. Praise God for the Blood of Jesus.

Sue, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls at this very difficult times of your life. I always thought of Jim as a second dad. I always enjoyed his visits to the Oriental House when he was able to come in for coffee. Jim was a great hearted man for that I know he is walking the streets in heaven. I just can’t believe he’s gone. God only takes the best. May God Bless you and the rest of the family during this time.

I had the honor to be ordained as a deacon at First Baptist Church Cantonment in January 2004. That Sunday night I shared the platform with Bro Jim Lowman who also was ordained that night. I had the privelege of serving with him and by him at FBCC. There was never a time I did not see him he did not smile and great me with a handshake. I can still hear him say Curtis, How are you tonight? at every deacons meeting…..Rest in peace brother!
