Seemed to me that would have been a more central location. It would have still served Atmore, Flomaton, Century, Brewton, AND all the outlying areas, but it would have been right in the middle of all of them. Even better yet, if they had located it in Century, then, no sales tax on groceries. There are super W/Ms in Bayminette and Andalusia. It would have been nice for us to get a little piece of that pie. I know a lot of readers don't care for W/M, but I know several people who went to work there, and the new jobs created saved/greatly helped families. Some were able to keep their homes after their spouses were laid off at other jobs. We should never "look a gift horse in the mouth"!!! One job is better than none. Too bad some of our residents would rather sit home and collect a check than earn one. Our fine government really needs to revamp it's 'hand-out' programs. I'm all for helping those who are unable to help themselves. The able-bodied folks need to get off their duffs and earn a living, no matter what the job is, pleasant or not. Why can't the able-bodies do community-type or neighborhood services? Pick up trash beside the roadways, help the elderly to shop for groceries or clean/cut their yards, etc. Well, it's just a thought, or more like wishful thinking!
