All summer I only had 3 or 4 (some summer I’d had maybe a dozen or more). Little by little, I noticed a few more, so I put out the 5 feeders I’ve had. Lost count after 50. Birds that fought over two feeders are not sitting together with 5 or six others! They are wonderful creations (even held a feeder in my hand and had them come and sit on my fingers while they drank). Assume they are on their way south soon?

I’ve done a bit of research concerning the three species of hummingbirds that frequent our area; if I’m not mistaken, one of the species is a year-round resident, so it won’t be necessary to remove the feeder. Here is a very informative website: http://www.nsis.org/bird/sp/sp-humm.html

I WAS AT A HOME THE OTHER DAY AND I SEEN LIKE 25-20 OF THESE BEAUTIFULL LITTLE BIRDS, I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY IN MY LIFE, THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFULL ! THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS POST. I NOW WANT TO MAKE MY YARD FULL OF FLOWERS AND FEEDERS FOR THESE BEAUTIFULL CREATURES !
