Unfortunatly I didnt watch the game last friday night. The guys know they lost and no one should question their ability to win football games. I know they are working even harder this week and are going to take it to the seahawks friday night!

It's hard to beat a team when you play most of the game with three down linemen. You know they are going to run ball. And also late in the game with 50 sec left, you kndof question the play calling. A run on 3rd and 10 and a screen to your fullback on 4th. What were we thinking?

My comment is not ment to bash any coach or player or to question there decisions . They know what they have got better than i do - it just appears that our young men are getting tired during the second halves cause the other teams seem to score more in the second half than they do in the first- they may be making adjustment to do better but if our young men are getting tired some subs could go along way to help out . Again this is just an observation.

the chiefs are doing great and will continue to do so - all are proud of these young men and coaches.

To Scott Spence, I am coming from a coaches standpoint. I do coach at a high school team in the area and all players have to earn their playing time. Players get their chance at practice week in and week out and the coaches put the players on the field that will give them the best chance to win on Thursday or Friday night. Every player gets an equal opportunity to step up during the week and prove if they have earned playing time. In high school the players earn their time on the field this is not little league. Once the team has a big enough lead then the guys not starting get there chance to show what they can do. I also know that coaches rotate certain players for certain situations because each player has certain things they are good at. You may have a player play an entire game one week and hardly at all the next according to the other teams scheme. Last I want to say that if the player does not work hard at practice and give 100% effort they will not see the field even with a big lead because we want players to work hard and be reliable. Also most coaches do not play players with attitude problems.

I fill for half of the players that have not played a down in three football games after watching the games so far - if the coaches would play some these players they may find some that might suprise them but they are not given chances - wonder why ? It makes you wonder if there is better players on the sidelines at some positions - they need to have some open try outs for all players and all positions and then still sub in more players at all positions to keep everybody fresh for later in games. All the players practice hard & play hard - don"t just play the same ones all the time cause if you do - all the boys on the sidelines might as well come set in the stands with the spectators and what if a major player gets hurt - who it going to fill his spot - someone from the sideline with no playing time - think about it !!!!!!

This article's title should read, "Northview Turns Game Over to Chipley." Northview had opportunities, but they were squandered with turnovers that killed chances to score points. There were two interceptions and at least five fumbles (three which were lost to Chipley - one near Chipley's goal line). Oh my, it was déjà vu with Freeport of two years ago when Chipley perfectly set up an onsides kick to start the second half. Chipley came to play and it proved it was the better team on the field in this game. Practice and learn from the errors of Friday night, and go take care of business at South Walton!!!!

How Northview's other opponents did on Friday night (www.fhsaa.org):

Won Bay 28 v. Walton County 8

Won Freeport 8 v. at Blountstown 7

Lost Baker 18 v. at Holmes County 28

Lost Marianna 13 v. at Liberty County 19

Lost Vernon 14 v. at Bozeman 17

Lost Jay 7 v. at Sneads 33

Won West Tech 42 v. Tate 7

Yet to Play South Walton v. Franklin County on 9/19

Open Date Gulf Breeze (next v. Panama City's Arnold High)

What an intense game last night against Chipley. NHS Chiefs played with so much heart, but I have to say one of the greatest plays I saw was when..... I think it was #25 got hurt after one of the plays and every other chief went back to the huddle not seeing the injured player. As soon as Blake McCall saw the injured chief he took off running to check on him, helped him up, and somewhat carried him off the field. As soon as he got him to the sideline the trainer got him and Blake had to sprint back on the field for the next play. Such character and class on Blake's part. Even though we lost on the scoreboard, we win when we see high school students showing such class. Those type of actions are what needs to be recognized and rewarded by the coaches and the fans. That's what needs to be taken from high school to adult life and what will make our community a better place. Way to go Blake! I hope I didn't embarass you by doing this, but I just had to post it. Love me some NHS Chiefs!!!!

Did We Lose To Chipley Because Our Heads Are In The Clouds? Did We Lose Because We Were Not Focused Since We Were #1? Or Did We Lose Because Chipley Just Out Played Us? Some Preseason Predictions Said That Chipley Was The Team To Beat In Class 1A Because Of All The Talent Thay Had Come Back This Year. Our Team Is Focused, They Just Got Out Played. They Will Recover.
Go Chiefs !!!!

Fans and players are to worried about what they are ranked. I can't tell you how many comments have been posted about where the Chiefs are ranked. Chiefs and fans need to focus week by week. Players need to focus on the little things to be more complete and fans just need to do there part in supporting them and not worry with ranking.
