I keep reading this article and especially the part about the lawmakers rejecting a medical loss ratio in favor of a profit-sharing concept with the HMOs. Isn't that racketeering? We will give you the contract and you give is a share of the profit? Isn't that what the mob does?

I love it Gaetz says the government must be the center of common sense and on and on, it hasn't made sense in the last 12 years why would it now? Told you he was a millionaire from health care.

REGARDING:
"Citizens officials have said they were required to seek huge increases after lawmakers passed a measure this year that called for “actuarially sound” rates for sinkhole coverage. But Sen. Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey, praised Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty after the decision to scale it back."

TRANSLATION;
"We want you to do things sensibly unless it discomfits particular people in which case we don't."

Like so many laws, they seem reasonable in the abstract but seem too hard in the concrete.
