The society is all to happy to convict and send away anyone who doesn't fit. No one thinks to commit to prison ministry or how to prevent these 1st time offenders. Just send them away we will pay the tax bill to support them for life and complain about the tax bills all the while. Served his time and was released again to public life. Committed another crime, sentenced to life. If the courts did this more often we wouldn't have repeat offenders who only feared a year or two in jail at most, probation at the least.
