I can name you a teacher right now in this school system, that has NOT been to college, no degree, but is a teacher and a coach..getting both salaries... Thank you Mr. Hines and all educators who have worked long and hard to give our students the best. It is a public fact, that hasn't come out yet I guess, that our wonderful state is changing the way employees and their retirements are handled! Therefore, unless Mr. Hines wants to give up about 15% of his income after the 1st of the year, he will have no choice but to retire! He will not be the only one! Any state education employee w/25 yrs of service in, will have no choice but to retire...unless they are loaded it won't matter how much they make each year! Maybe he is just ready to retire while he is still young enough and in good health to enjoy retirement. His children are grown and out of the house. I don't blame him for wanting to enjoy life for a while and I wish him and Judy the best of luck as they start this phase of their lives. I have known them both for quite some time and if anybody deserves to retire, I would definitely say it would be them.
