She works 2nd shift near Pcola. She had a late night and a long drive back home. I’m sure most of us have been there before. I’m not making any excuses for Katie. Yes, she should be more careful in the future and thank GOD she is alive and no one else was injured. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

On Saturday My son and I was on this road going to Atmore and we was going 60 and 4 cars and a motorcycle passed us.went had been on 97 for maybe 4 miles,,, My 15 said so Mom that is why they have wrecks ALL the time on this road,,, So yes that is a good reason,,,

We dotn’t expect you to be looking for car seats. Just remember that there may be a little one in a car. If you don’t care about yourself that’s fine but how about taking a moment to think about the life of the person in the other car that is doing the right thing and does not have a clue that you are the next wanna be race car driver on a mission. If you can’t drive the horse maybe you should get a pinto or yugo.

I agree w/ pm. People have no respect for the rules of the road & could care less if you have a precious baby in your car. We def. need some patroling out here and harsher punishment for people texting & talking on cell phones while driving!!!

Question: What’s goiing on on the North end? Well the answer is this. Too many people out this way have no respect for themselves or other drivers. I hope this young lady is ok and makes a full recovery. However, she was charged with careless driving so that tells us something about the way she was driving. When we visit with our kids that live out that way we are almost always passed by one or two cars on double yellow lines. Guess that is because we are driving the speed limit and watching out for other drivers, a random deer, or other distractions that could cause an accident. It seems to me like the ESO or Highway Patrol have forgotten that Hwy. 97 even exists. DOT is never around to monitor the log trucks, gravel trucks, etc. that drive that Highway and just have to ride tailgate the vehicle in front of them so they can make their quota for the day. Why don’t you people wake up and understand that you can’t see the car seats with babies in them or just get up a little earlier to make it to work in time. Hwy. 97 is a dangerous road and speed and arrogance of some of the drivers out that way are the enemy. Mr. Morgan may I suggest you do your job and put your deputies to work out there for a while. Again i wish this young lady a complete recovery and hope she learned something from it. Just wish the rest of the irresponsible people that drive out there could learn the same thing without killing others or themselves.
