If you cook it good, the bacteria will die. I remember when Winn Dixie came to Atmore. I would sit in my tree house in Grand Ma’s backyard, in the evening, marveling at the brightly lit parking lot. Bright Lights, Big City.

Why is it that vegetarians always preach that meat is bad. Its nice that you eat nothing but plants, but personally I really don’t care that you think red meat is bad. I’m just tired of hearing about the lifestyle you have chosen.
And yes…I’m a member of p.e.t.a.- people eating tasty animals.
I also don’t think plants are food. Plants are what food eats.

This can really be confusing. I’m thankful William has this on his site, because I went to the Winn Dixie site and had a horrible time getting info on this recall.

And I’m further confused because I bought ground chuck Saturday in Pace, FL with a sell by date of 8-14, which shouldn’t be included in this recall, but the UPC code on my packages match the ones being recalled. So I think I’ll call the meat department at Winn Dixie and ask them what should be done. I don’t know if they want us to return the meat or if they are just cautioning us on cooking it thoroughly!!

I wouldn’t eat the suspected beef cooked to ANY temperature. I had E Coli food poisoning once. I have seldom been that sick in my whole life.
