I work just off “W” Street and was totally in awe at the procession of vehicles that passed our business! Absolutley a “Hero’s Welcome Home”! My prayers go out to the family and friends, but know he is at peace! God has another strong Marine to help him in heaven!

I am glad to see all the support from the communities here for the family. I hope they will feel all the love they are being shown and the high regard that we hold for Lance Cpl. Nelson. I send them my deepest sympathy and honor the memory of him.

Today I had the honor and previlege to welcome home one of our young heros. It was so moving to see the support for this young man and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with LCPL Nelson and his family, May God bless you all for your sacrifice.

It was so heartwarming to see motorcade this afternoon…didn’t know the family but my daughter goes to school with anna and i just wanted to send my prayers to the family in there time of need. R.I.P. Travis Nelson

Becky and Anna, I am so sorry for your loss of your precious son and brother. I am forever greatful for the ultimate sacrifice he gave to protect our freedom. May God bless you and keep you. There are really no words to suffice or express my feelings. I am so very glad that I knew him.

I was honored to stand at attention while this young man, his family and the Patriot Guard and police escorts passed by this afternoon on NAS Pensacola.

Thank you Lance Corporal Nelson, you have served your country proudly.

To the family……. Thank you for raising a great american who was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.
