It was an honor to be able to stand and honor LCPL Nelson. I felt that I needed to be there because even though he did not know me he stood for me so I needed to be there to stand and honor him and his family. I pray that his family will get the comfort they need from GOD and their other family members. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this moment in your lives and thank you for your son and close family member.

Beckie and Scott,

There is no way that anyone can thank Travis or you for the sacrifice you’ve made for our freedom. Millions have served, currently serve and will serve in future, but you all have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Travis is an inspiration to us all to be better citizens. I pray for for our service members and veterans! Travis and all of our service members are my Heroes. May God bless each one and our families. If I were there now, I would hug you all!

Marines say that their brothers that have fallen in duty have recieved their final orders. Their final orders are to forever guard the gates of Heaven. Travis may you forever rest in piece. I know now that God needed his soldier and I will see you again someday soon my brother!

Your loss, I know has changed a lot of our young mens life. One of my sons never had the privllege to serve our great country as his brother and me did. To serve and honor our great country is somthing that a lot never do and a lot who never had a chance.
Standing on the streets I didn’t see some there and seeing some who were there was a plesant surprise. I did see all of Atmore Alabama.
Your loss was not in vain.
