#1 He doesn’t like to be wrapped in a towel
#2 When he is scared he bites real hard !

Loopey and Wally (african grey) stay inside at night. During the day they are let on the back porch in cages and on some days they fly freely back there. Unfortunately my back porch wasn’t locked that day and Loopey was startled by a stranger. They usually won’t talk at all to people they don’t know and try to fly away if someone new is in their area. As soon as he got here he started chatting away. He is doing great and happy to be back with his friend Wally again. =) I’ve had Loopey since he was a baby, for seven years. I hand-fed both Loopey and Wally. I don’t clip their wings because they love to fly.
Thank you so much for finding him. He is very important to me and very loved.

Might want to think about keeping Loopy’s wings clipped if he lives on a porch that doesn’t have a vestible. It would be pretty easy to add one to your porch. Have a small screened area & another door….that way, if Loopy got through the 1st door, he would still be confined. Aviarys are built in this manner, at every door is an enclosed vestibule.

Poor Loopy was pretty traumatized after his capture. When we found out his name we tried to talk to him, but he wouldn’t say anything. According to my step-mom, his owners said he was talking up a storm when they got him back. I think the leg band is probably the best idea.
