If ya can't see a car coming, how ya gonna see a red light. The visibility is at least 1/2 mile or better in all directions, Why ya need a redlight?

It is a busy intersection, you just have to take extra time with it, a stop light is NOT the answer, we r all human and we ALL make mistakes. I am pleased that everyone is ok.

■tango5 = Bless you! You have said enough for everyone.

STOP, LOOK, then decide to drive!

A light will solve nothing at this intersection, in my opinion. It is not the intersection that is bad, it is the people using the intersection that make it bad.

Having lived in Molino for quite a few years i have seem lot of accidents at that intersection. All were avoidable. Most are younger people not paying attention,or,people in a hurry to save a few seconds by pulling out into oncoming traffic.Tow Thumb is open 24 hours and so is the Casino. No need to be in a big hurry to get there.

I have had a good look at this intersection. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the intersection itself. It is an easy intersection to navigate from any direction including turns onto 97.The following is a list of what problems do exist indirectly (or directly for that matter) at this intersection.

Cell phones
Texting
Applying make-up
Lap tops
Eating
Slurping drinks
Reading paper
Looking but not SEEING

Shall I go on?

We need a traffic light, which might slow down some of the speeders and let some people avoid injuries and deaths at this intersection! It won't stop redlight runners, but maybe they would get tickets and increase the revenue here!

A light will just create the same accidents further up 97, something has to be done about all of the roads and businesses that terminate at that point. You can never tell if someone south bound on 29 is going through or stopping at the gas station; people make a "U" turn at the intersection to go to the gas station and besides that you have a road coming into 97 less than 200 feet from the intersection. People using turn signals would help but is not the total answer; moving the intersection with Crabtree Church Road would help a bunch.
