Let us not forget the confident prophets who assured us gasoline would pass $5/gallon by the end of summer. I guess that means by September 22 we will be looking back on now as the good old days of cheap gas.

I actually moved from Jay to Pensacola because of the gas situation. We really do need to stop depending on fossile fuels. Living just 3 miles from work now its not too far to ride a bike or even walk, same goes with my son who’s work is less than 7 miles away. Besides saving money not having to buy gas, its great exercise too.

Gas, or oil is high, along with the price of Cotton, Corn, Coffee, Sugar, Beef, Pork, Chicken, ect. All mentioned are a commodity traded on the world market, as we are told. But from what I understand, the rest of the world, including China are not doing well either.
So, does low demand for these commodities equal high prices? I thought it was the other way around.
Our power bills are killing us, or most of us, and it is not based on the world market. They burn U.S. coal and natural gas. Folks are going from barely getting by, to not getting by at all………..
