Lightening struck a pole across the street. It was so loud my ears are still ringing. I looked out and saw smoke and sure enough there was a fire around the pole and heading into our neighbors crops. It was quickly contained and put out. Thanks for getting here and putting it out, I know the man who owns the land would appreciate it too.

Thanks to the quick action of Mike Helton who came to check when he smelled and saw smoke, called 911, beat flames, hooked the tractor to disk and disked around the area, neighbors and many volunteer firefighters and their tankers the fire was quickly contained before the forstery plow got here. They did plow as an extra safety measure. The wind was switching directions and the matter could have gotten ugly. A slight shower helped. Thanks guys, for a job well done.

Same hail on hwy 97 near Gibson Rd. Lost my flag pole, garbage can down the road and grill blown over. However, We sure did need that rain.
