>>Robert, I think this is talking only about the Construction land fill and not the two days a week Public landfill isn’t it?

That's what the story says: "construction and demolition debris disposal pit permit". It's the C&D pit, not the transfer station for public trash.

I tend to agree we would like to keep our Landfill in our region of the County. It is one of the few things I see happening in this end of the county and our taxes are the same as the South end of the counties taxes. Hope to see the permit renewed as Mr. Hudson said, we don't want to be forced to use the ECUA as the economy is already an issue and then to force people to have to resort to the ECUA is unthinkable with everything continually to increase financially. We use it all the time, my husband and self. I hope that it is renewed so that people won't begin to dump there trash in our beautifuls woodlands in our region. Believe me, it happens! Sounds as though it would create more of an Ecological problem than anything if is closed.

The land fill is open 2 days a week, Friday& Sat, Yes we in the north end of the county need this land fill open, and a lot of us want it to stay open, I use it all the time, Hey it is the one thing the county can do for us, I mean it is not like we get alot from the county any way. I and many others prefer to take our own trash off, At least we do not have to worry about ECUA jacking up our trash pick up.

It's owned by the county, right? And the county is the one that grants the permit and then collects the fees for profit, right? No conflict of interest here (eyes rolling) and I'll go out on a limb here and say that it'll get renewed.

Its only open 1 day a week , what a waste. The northend is considered second class citizens in this county. Might as well close it after all of the work was done up there, thats what these commisioners like to do spend , spend, spend.
